Manhattan? It existed in medieval times in San Gimignano. The most influential families built towers – the higher the tower, the more powerful the family. San Gimignano and Vernaccia wine are a must for tourists visiting Tuscany. Not far from there you can find Volterra, known as the town of alabaster; to this day used by expert craftsmen to create unique works of art, and the Abbey of San Galgano with its famous sword in the rock, origin of the legend of King Arthur.

After lunch visit to the famous “Grotta del Vento” following to visit of “Castelnuovo” and visit at the old city situated at an altitude of 277 metres. Castelnuovo is the principal town and the hearth of the green Garfagnana area, a territory that constitutes the northern part of the valley of the Serchio river, which runs between the mountain walls of the Apuan alps and the Apennines.
